FAQs - Data Templates¶
✔️ Acumatica/Haufe X360’s data is built up with a set of templates. Company ID 1 is the system template, company ID 2 is the “Setup Template” (“Parent Template”), and any further companies with ID >= 3 are company templates. Up until version 12.017.0000.290, the standard setup template was the “Legacy Germany” template; and from version 12.017.0000.290 onwards, the standard setup template is the “Standard” template.
The “Legacy Germany” template contains more data than the “Standard” template. The “Standard” template is a more lightweight version of the “Legacy Germany” template, and is recommended for new setups. Actually, the “Legacy Germany” template is no longer available as of the above version.
✔️ If you are setting up a new instance of Acumatica/Haufe X360 with a version 12.017.0000.290 or later, you should use the “Standard” setup template. If you are upgrading an existing instance of Acumatica/Haufe X360 which should mirror the default setup for companies in Germany, you must use the “Legacy Germany” setup template. Using the “Standard” setup template in combination with e.g. a snapshot of a company on a default setup cloud instance will lead to inconsistencies and unpredictable behaviour.
The only cases where the “Standard” Setup Template should be used with Haufe X360 versions below 12.017.0000.290 are: AMCS companies (both Germany and Switzerland), and instances where both German and Swiss tenants are used.
