Operation Progress¶
X360 Developer Tool executes long running operations in the background. This enables users to navigate to other screens and still keep track of the background tasks. On Windows, the tasks are executed in a sequential fashion. If a task is already running in the background and if another task is scheduled, then the recently scheduled task is only executed once the current task is either completed or results in failure.
Following operations do fall under long running operations category and are executed in background,
Install an Application (Haufe X360/ Acumatica)
Update an Application
Delete an Application
Tenant Management
Publish Customization Projects
Verify Dependencies
Install Dependency or an extension
For long running operations, X360 Developer Tool shows a log window. This window shows the progress of the task or error in case of failure. As soon as a task is scheduled, an indicator is displayed on the menu bar. This indicator shows the number of tasks in progress/failed. You can open Monitor Screen to view status of all the tasks.
